BATANGAS POLICE ARRESTS SUSPECT FOR ROBBERY WITH PHYSICAL INJURIES IN TANAUAN CITY

Camp Gen. Miguel C. Malvar, Batangas City – On November 3, 2025, personnel of the Tanauan Component City Police Station arrested a.k.a. RONALD for Robbery with Physical Injuries in Brgy. Wawa, Tanauan City, Batangas.

The suspect was identified as a.k.a. RONALD, 47 years old, married, jobless, native of Brgy. Trapiche, Tanauan City, Batangas, and a resident of Brgy. Wawa, Tanauan City, Batangas.

The victims were identified as:
a. a.k.a. LARs, 29 years old, single, businesswoman, and a resident of Brgy. Wawa, Tanauan City, Batangas: and
b. a.k.a. Bar, 17 years old, single, student, native and a resident of Brgy. Wawa, Tanauan City, Batangas.

At about 1:50 AM on November 4, 2025, a BPSO member of Barangay Wawa, Tanauan City, Batangas, turned over the suspect for the crime of Robbery with Physical Injuries.

Investigation revealed that while Victim 1 was sleeping in her room, she felt someone take her iPhone 15 from her side. She immediately saw an unidentified male person and shouted, “Magnanakaw- Magnanakaw!” At that moment, her younger brother (Victim 2) woke up, and they confronted the suspect.

However, the suspect attempted to escape, and when the victims tried to stop him, he drew a knife. A struggle ensued between the suspect and the victims until the latter was able to seize the knife from the former, resulting in injuries to them.

Recovered from the suspect was one (1) folding knife, approximately eight (8) inches in length. The suspect was apprised of his constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine and the Anti-Torture Law of the Philippines.

A criminal complaint is being prepared for filing against the accused at the Office of the City Prosecutor of Tanauan City.

“We will not stand for acts of violence and theft in our communities. This arrest underscores our commitment to protecting our residents and ensuring that criminals are brought to justice. Dine sa Batangas, walang takas!” stated PCOL SIBALO.
