Last week was payout day, and with the $62.69 exchange rate, I was like… 🤑

But in this economy?! 🤔The exchange rate may look exciting, but it’s not really a flex. With inflation doing the most, you still have to be intentional with your money. Iyak talaga😭

Because the real win isn’t earning in dollars.

It’s having the freedom to enjoy the moments money can’t buy:

👶 Being there for my baby’s little milestones
🏡 Being home with my family
❤️ Never missing special occasions
☕ Taking a break when my baby needs me
🧹 Getting little things done around the house between work

And having a client who understands, trusts my work, and gives me that flexibility? Priceless.

Because at the end of the day, the biggest flex isn’t just getting paid.

It’s being a present mom. 🥹❤️

Ending the love month with so much gratitude and favor in my heart. 🫶

One downside of freelancing is not having the usual corporate benefits like 13th month, paid leaves, holiday pay… you know the usual.

But here’s the thing, freelancing doesn’t mean you can’t have them. You just have to show your value and confidently ask.

Hindi nakakahiya mag-request, lalo na if you’re really adding value.

This February, I got the last thing I requested, an increase again!!! 😄He actually said he’d give it even before I asked, but having it officially confirmed feels amazing.

Now I’m very grateful that we agreed to include these in our contract:
• Philippine holidays with flexibility to offset and use whenever I have family gatherings or important errands
• Paid maternity leave (super grateful for this season of my life )
• PTO that can be converted to cash if unused

Freelancing reminded me we’re partners in our clients’ businesses. Treat the work as your own and show up with excellence, growth naturally follows.

I’ve been thinking maybe it’s time to share more consistently about my journey, still learning, still growing, but choosing to show up anyway.

If this inspires even one aspiring VA to know their worth and advocate for themselves, then it’s worth sharing 💛

I came across this post and akala ko ako lang ang may ganitong experience when I started working as a VA!

Tasks that should take 8 hours…matatapos ko sa 2–4 hours 😳
At first, guilty, anxious, bothered…sanay kasi ako sa system na laging busy, walang work-life balance. Pero ngayon, I realized na it’s normal.

Those “free hours” are GOLD:
✅Learn new skills
✅Improve processes
✅Offer extra help

To all newbies like myself, don’t stress. Work isn’t just about finishing tasks,it’s about growing, learning, and adding real value ☺️
