Ampiyas, the official Literary Folio of The VISION Group of Publications, is back for its 23rd issue.

This season, we open the pages to what dwells beneath the skin of silenceโ€”the hidden chambers where courage beats, where grief lingers, and where truths are kept unspoken. Let your words and art become vessels of that unseen core, revealing the pulse that shapes every story, every struggle, every triumph. Add to this the human experiences and biological depths that define our existence, and allow your works to mirror the essence of life itself.

If you are a bona fide LCCian who can be a ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฏ๐˜‚๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฟ for the following literary and visual works, shed with us as we cascade the downpour of fervors this season:

IN PHOTOS | LRC flairs annual spelling clash; CBA sweeps spelldown glory

Learning Resource Center (LRC) hosted its annual Spelling Bee as part of the celebration of 91st National Book Month bonded with theme โ€œTulay ang Pagbร sa sa Bรบkas na Puno ng Pag-asa,โ€ November 28.

In a three gruelling rounds, Kevin Adoan from College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) emerged as the 2025 LRC Spelling Bee Champion besting 21 competitors across college departments. Meanwhile, Elijah Ezekiel Asis of the same department clinched first runner-up finish, cementing a historic win for CBA.

LRC Spelling Bee 2025 edition serves as one of the institutionโ€™s initiatives to promote academic engagement and campus-wide literary efforts among students.

NEWS | LCC yields 138 new nurses in November PNLE

Earlier than expected, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the anticipated results of the November 2025 Philippine Nurse Licensure Examination (PNLE), with Lipa City Collegesโ€™ College of Nursing (CON) producing 138 newly registered nurses and posting a national passing rate of 91.39%.

LCC's first-time takers achieved a successful 93.98% rate, while the retakers recorded 72.22%, translating to 125 and 13 passers, respectively.

According to the PRC, the examinations posted a 90.04% overall passing rate, producing 40,692 newly registered nurses.

Additionally, 21 schools with 100 or more examinees and 23 schools with 50 to 99 examinees topped the school rankings as they recorded a 100% passing rate in the nursing board examination.

The nursing board exams were conducted on November 4โ€“5 in various testing centers around the country.

Meanwhile, as of this writing, no details have been posted regarding the upcoming oathtaking of passers.

In full momentum for LCC's 78th Founding Anniversary, the Alumni officers once again stood before the community to reaffirm their Oath of Office lead by the school's President Dr. Joe Vincent J. Abiera โ€“ energizing their mission to strengthen ties among LCCians from past to present, November 21.

The short but spirited ceremony highlighted the importance of keeping alumni engagement alive and accessible, especially as LCC celebrates nearly eight decades of shaping lives.

Meanwhile, the roster was elected during the inauguration of "Balik Saya sa LCC," last October 18.

CAMPUS NEWS | LCC ties studentโ€™s future, unveils PCMEAP

Continuing the mission of gifting every student an opportunity for quality education, Lipa City Colleges (LCC), dubbed as the Scholars Capital of Batangas, proudly launched the President Carlos R. Mojares Educational Access Program (PCMEAP), during the LCC 78th Founding Anniversary, November 21.

Set to float in the academic year 2026-2027, Director for Marketing, Scholarship, Linkages, and Career Placement Office (SSMSLCP), Mr. Aldwin R. Jose, enlightened PCMAEP as a four-year round benefit, to provide qualified students a 17,000 pesos discount per semester.

Moreover, with LCC nearing its 80th anniversary, Institutionโ€™s President, Dr. Joe Vincent Abiera, highlighted the program as a breakthrough in education, aiding every studentโ€™s tuition and fees.

โ€œThis is an initiative designed to expand educational opportunities by offering special tuition rates for the four years, for the financially-challenge Filipino students for specific programs,โ€ Dr. Abiera stated in his message.

Meanwhile, PCMEAP covers the following undergraduate programs: Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) Major in General Education; Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) Major in English, Mathematics, Filipino & Science; Bachelor of Physical Education (BPED); Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) Major in Marketing & Financial Management; Bachelor of Science in Public Administration (BSPA) and; and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS).

Additionally, It covers LCC's latest program offering, Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Management.

Dr. Abiera merits LCC's 78 years of service and spirit

At the hallmark of Lipa City Colleges' (LCC) 78th Founding Anniversary, institution's President, Dr. Joe Vincent J. Abiera highlighted LCC community's resilience, shared mission, and decades-long commitment to shaping values-driven leaders.

In his tribute message, Dr. Abiera announced two major initiatives for this yearโ€™s celebration: the launch of the President Carlos Mojares Educational Access Program (PCMEAP), a four-year special tuition-rate opportunity for financially challenged students, and LCC Cares, an institutional fund drive supporting families in Catanduanes affected by Typhoons Tino and Uwan.

As LCC continue its growing glory, the President called on to honor its history while striving toward greater milestones, marking years of excellence rooted in service, strengthened by compassion, and united by a shared vision for the future.
