HOUSE BILL SEEKS DEATH PENALTY BY FIRING SQUAD FOR CORRUPT OFFICIALS

A measure filed in the House of Representatives seeks to impose the death penalty by firing squad on public officials found guilty of corruption.

The proposal, contained in House Bill No. 11211 filed by Zamboanga Representative Khymer Adan Olaso, comes amid renewed calls for tougher penalties against corruption and misuse of public funds.
