In 2015, there was no FABINHS campus yet—only wide stretches of grassland, surrounded by a community that was already here, living, working, and making memories long before the school came to be.

Today, the landscape has changed. Classrooms stand where open fields once stretched, and FABINHS has become a place where thousands of students learn, grow, and dream.

But as we look at how much has changed, we should also remember what was here before us.

A school may rise on the land, but it becomes part of a community that has its own history, stories, and roots.

We are not simply building a school, we are becoming part of a place.

🖋️ Last week was a meaningful start as we held our Orientation, Registration, and School-Wide Press Conference.

We thank the nearly 50 students who attended the orientation and the around 30 participants who took part in the competition. Your enthusiasm and passion for campus journalism inspire us.

The official results will be announced later this week, so stay tuned!

Special thanks to Grade 10 - Gemelina for generously lending their classroom as the venue for both events.

True sportsmanship is not only measured on the playing field—it is also reflected in the hearts of those who cheer from the sidelines.

As our Intramurals begin, may every friend, classmate, teacher, and supporter fill the stands with encouragement, respect, and positivity. The cheers, chants, and applause will do more than celebrate every point—they will inspire athletes to give their best and remind us that sports are about unity as much as competition.

The spirit of the games is built not only by those who wear the jerseys, but also by those who believe in them. Every voice from the stands, every show of support, and every act of respect helps create an atmosphere where camaraderie thrives and every participant feels valued.

Ten years after writing for The Searchlight—now known as Esquadron, the official student publication of Fernando Air Base Integrated National High School–Junior High School—Jan Jumine Reyes continues to make his mark in the world of writing and leadership. Today, he serves as a columnist for the Manila Standard, using his platform to share insightful perspectives on current issues and inspire a wider audience through his work.

Beyond journalism, Reyes is pursuing a Master of Business Administration at the Ramon V. del Rosario College of Business, De La Salle University. He also served as Co-Lead of the DLSU–NYU Stern Signature Project 2026, showcasing his leadership on an international academic stage. His journey reflects how the skills developed in campus journalism can open doors to meaningful opportunities and lasting success.
