May 22, 2025 | President Marcos Orders Cabinet to Resign
In a sweeping move described as a “bold reset,” President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has asked all Cabinet secretaries to submit their courtesy resignations. This decision follows underwhelming midterm election results and is aimed at realigning the administration’s priorities with public expectations.
Several key officials have already complied, including the Executive Secretary, Finance Secretary, Budget Secretary, Interior Secretary, Social Welfare Secretary, and others. The President emphasized that this is not about personalities but about performance and urgency: “The people have spoken, and they expect results — not politics, not excuses.”
This marks a major turning point for the administration as it reassesses its direction and recommits to delivering tangible results.
