Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC), named and established by the prominent businessmen Elizalde brothers -- Maestro Frederico, Ambassador JM, and Manuel (also known as Don Manolo), is the pioneer of broadcast institution in the Philippines. It traces its roots back to KZRH (now known as DZRH) -- the oldest radio station in the country and was identified as "the voice of the Philippi
nes," which first went on the air back in June 15, 1939. Subsequently, MBC expanded its reach into the FM band with DZMB (now known as 90.7 Love Radio), soon after, with 101.1 Yes FM and Hot FM, and more recently, with 96.3 Easy Rock. With its provincial partners nationwide, it also established Radyo Natin network, the largest FM network in the country which reaches even the farthest municipalities of every province. In 2008, MBC began airing RHTV through Skycable, later through Dream Satellite, Cable Link, and Cignal Digital Television. It has also ventured into special events and continues to provide radio listeners with a diverse array of activities that highlight both regional and national pride. Today, with its stations in key areas of the archipelago, MBC reaches out to the remote corners of the country and at the same time to Filipinos overseas via the Internet. It also continues to be a witness to Philippine history as it unfolds, while maintaining the highest standards of broadcast excellence.
