2022 marks the 50th year of Ferdinand Marcos Sr's declaration of Martial Law. Under military rule, widespread impunity, economic crises, and repression plagued the Filipino people. Decades after Marcos was ousted from power, his family successfully made a comeback to Malacañang through massive disinformation, historical distortion, and alliances with the most evil sections of society. We, as artists, youth, and freedom-loving Filipinos must stand our ground in defending history, the narratives of our heroes and martyrs, and for the future generations.
100% of the event's proceed will be for Victoria Lavado's medical expenses. Victoria is a peasant and Indigenous Peoples organizer in Southern Tagalog. Doctors found 6 bilateral cysts in her breasts (3 on each side).
