Chosen by God to be the Mother of the Savior, Mary was preserved from original sin from the very first moment of her existence, a grace given through her mother, St. Anne.

Every December 8, we celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, the principal patroness of the Philippines. On this day, we honor the Blessed Virgin Mary—pure, faithful, and fully surrendered to God’s plan, always ready to say “yes” to His call.

O Immaculate Conception, intercede for our beloved Philippines. Guide our leaders to make decisions rooted in compassion and justice. Watch over all Filipinos, wherever they may be—grant us humility, strength, and steadfast obedience to God’s word.

Today, we honor the life and sacrifice of Apolinario “Hermano P**e” de la Cruz, a man of deep faith and unyielding conviction whose fight for religious freedom and equality paved the way for the awakening of the Filipino spirit. His courage reminds us that true devotion is found in standing firm for justice and dignity.

From the humble town of Lucban, Quezon, Hermano P**e’s journey began—rooted in faith, strengthened by purpose, and carried by the dream of equality for all. His legacy continues to echo through the mountains and hearts of Quezonians, inspiring generations to uphold the values he lived and died for.

As we commemorate his 184th death anniversary, may we, the people of Lucban, continue to honor his memory with unity, courage, and faith that never falters.
