News | CNJL Pilots Strengthened SHS Program

Casa del Niño Jesus de Lucban, Inc. (CNJL) Senior High School (SHS) officially began the pilot testing of the Strengthened SHS Program as regular classes opened, June 23.

The implementation focuses on the Academic Track in compliance with DepEd Memorandum No. 048, s. 2025, which mandates the pilot implementation of the Strengthened Senior High School (SHS) Curriculum. This memorandum allows selected schools to roll out the curriculum before its nationwide adoption.

Students experienced the initial introduction of revised core and electives subjects under the new framework.

The pilot seeks to gather data on curriculum relevance, teaching efficacy, and student engagement that will guide full implementation.

According to Mr. Rinze Anthony Lopez, SHS Academic Program Coordinator, the testing phase is expected to generate insightful feedback that will help improve the program's implementation and its responsiveness to learners' needs.

“We aim to gather meaningful observations throughout the pilot phase to ensure that the program develops 21st-century competencies among our students,” he added.

Last Friday, June 20, monitors from the Department of Education (DepEd) – Schools Division Office (SDO) of Quezon Province visited CNJL to observe the initial implementation and evaluate the school’s readiness.

Based on their assessment, CNJL is well-prepared and capable of implementing the Strengthened SHS Program effectively.

News | CNJL Welcomes Students Back to Class

Casa del Niño Jesus de Lucban, Inc. (CNJL) officially began its regular classes, following a successful and engaging orientation week, June 23.

The orientation, held from June 16 to 20, provided students and parents with essential information on school policies, academic expectations, and co-curricular offerings.

It also served as a meaningful preparation for students to smoothly transition into the formal start of the academic year.

As classes opened, students from Nursery to Senior High School returned with enthusiasm, filling the classrooms once again.

Teachers warmly welcomed them with well-prepared lessons, engaging activities, and a renewed commitment to academic and values formation.

Mr. Jayson P. Terciano, LPT, MAH, School Principal, emphasized CNJL’s mission to nurture students not only intellectually but also spiritually and morally.

“Nasasabik kaming samahan ang (aming) mga mag-aaral sa kanilang paglalakbay ngayong taon habang sila’y lumalago sa kaalaman, pagpapahalaga, at paglilingkod — habang tinatamasa ang dekalidad at Katolikong edukasyon,” he shared.

Classroom activities commenced smoothly as students adjusted to their schedules and participated in introductory tasks.

School administrators ensured a seamless transition from orientation to regular instruction through close monitoring and guidance.

“It’s good to be back. Excited na po uli’t akong matuto ng mga bagong aralin at makilala ang mga bagong kaibigan, at yakapin ang bagong pagkakataong umunlad,” said Marianette Viduya, Servant Leader Council President.
