STATEMENT ON THE ISSUE ABOUT THE GLL PRODUCTION

We have been informed about a "Ginoong Lakas Loob" (GLL) pageant that is being organized in another University. Unfortunately, we cannot solely claim the pageant (in legal respects) for there has not been any documents officially registered elsewhere that would prove such claim.

All we know is that the very term "Ginoong Lakas Loob" (and the whole production concept) was an idea pioneered in Southern Luzon State University by Prof. Maria Niña B. Roazol and the BA Communication students who were then taking the course COMM 11: Radio and Television Production in 2013. As of this writing, there has already been four of such pageants taking on the same name in SLSU, the recent having been organized by the College of Arts and Sciences of SLSU, with which consent to use the term "Ginoong Lakas Loob" was sought from, and granted by Prof. Roazol.

We do have documentary evidences that we may have been the "first one" to use the term, and perhaps the "rightful owner" of "Ginoong Lakas Loob" and its accompanying production concept. The following links show evidences of our claim:

Other relevant evidences can be made available upon request.

We would be very glad to hear from the organizers, and would be very willing to facilitate a conversation between the people we believe have pioneered the idea, and the organizers of the event in the other University. They may reach us through: https://www.facebook.com/ACOMMS/ .

We earnestly hope that this will put a stop to the unnecessary exchange of hateful comments online on both sides. We wish that our students (former and current alike) will take down/ delete any messages they have posted in and about that page that would undermine a more academic conversation on this matter.

We hope that this page will help us the ExeComm and Members to communicate much better.

Positive Vibes,
ACOMMS ExeComm 2016-2017
