In the year 1996, a mission, to preach the gospel of Christ, was started by a man whom we call Ptr. Rudy Calayan in the city of Lucena. It was a humble beginning in an old house, situated in a very small street called Edaňo, where Ptr. Rudy started to spread hope of God’s saving grace to neighbors and relatives. Soon enough, in just 4 years, the fruit of his labor has flourished and in the year 1999, Grace Baptist Church had it’s 1st anniversary with a handful of baptized members. A little later that year, it was in Ptr. Rudy’s heart that God has impressed upon him to start a bible school , to train God’s people in the ministry of fulltime service and raising them to be future pastors, teachers, and godly leaders. Early in the year 2000, Baptist Voice Bible College was born, with only 5 church workers who has committed themselves to serve the Lord and willingly surrendered to the will of God and to share with Ptr. Rudy’s vision.Together, Grace Baptist Church and Baptist Voice Bible College ministries has immensely amplified through faithful members who labored for the souls and God’s mighty and unwavering blessings.
