That feeling… playing in peace… uninterrupted… taking all that nostalgia. Man, it’s good to still have these games. What a great generation we’re in. Enjoying both retro and modern games.

Released in 1998, Metal Gear Solid became one of the defining games of the PlayStation era.

🧠 Did you know?
Metal Gear Solid famously “reads your memory card.” Psycho Mantis can comment on other Konami games you’ve played—and even makes Snake’s controller move by using the controller port trick.

But there’s an even crazier part…

🎮 To defeat Psycho Mantis, you have to switch the controller from Port 1 to Port 2.

It was one of the most memorable fourth-wall-breaking moments in PS1 gaming—and something you simply couldn’t experience the same way on a modern emulator unless the game’s controller setup is replicated.

So if you played MGS3 when it originally came out, Delta is essentially a remake arriving just over two decades later.

And what’s interesting is that the story is still set in 1964, Delta doesn’t change the game’s historical setting; it modernizes the presentation and gameplay while retaining the original story.
