First time at BRC after 4 years and first time to drive the M2 at BRC. We used the same Vitours from last year, it looks like it has about 10% tread life left but what I love about the Vitour Tempesta P1+ is that you can literally use it until becomes slicks or until the cords show up. New tires care of RSA motors will be arriving hopefully next month. So we'll be ready for the next round which is May 22 or we might try to beat our old PB at CIS this April.
The biggest problem we had was that our brakes are absolutely gone, it's also the same set from last year so it's pretty much due for replacement. There are a lot of micro cracks on the rotors as well caused by me not cooling down after sessions 😅. My car had a hard time stopping at the first turn, R Bend and sometimes Casino.
We were only also able to do 1 session the whole day at 9 am since we skipped 11:30 am then we were supposed to join the last session at 4 pm but an incident happened on the session beforehand so it was red flagged. Sadly 1 session only for the whole race but its nice because now we know what this car is capable of. If we had another session i'm sure we would hit 1:44. Or maybe 1:43 if i fixed my driving at some of the corners like the exit of casino.
