Hugs.
An open letter to those who are silently struggling:
I know you’ve heard many times from others that it’s okay not to be okay because that feeling will pass, but I also know how hard it is when you’ve not been fine for such a long time already. You have been carrying a heavy weight in your heart while there are wars of thoughts in your mind. You are doing your best, but it often feels like you and all the things you do are not enough. You don’t know what to do. You just want to make it through.
You might be struggling financially, emotionally, mentally, or physically, and I’m sorry that you have to struggle silently. You always put on a brave face, even when you are actually on the verge of breaking down. You don’t want people to worry about you, but when you are alone and finally allowed to be vulnerable, the smile on your face immediately goes away. It’s as if you have been using it as a mask to cover your pain. I know it’s hard. Your feelings are valid.
Take a deep breath. Just for a moment, let yourself feel what you need to feel without guilt or shame. I know you’re struggling with everything that’s happening right now, and it feels like there’s no way out, but please hold on a little longer. You deserve the goodness life has to offer, and I hope they find their way to you soon. May all your hard work and sacrifices pay off. Until then, hold on to hope because brighter days are coming. For now, breathe. You’ve got this!
