Today, LGU Madrid received the RDRRMC Caraga Tigpanalipod 2025 Award during the Pasidungog Kal’wasan sa Lokal Panggamhanan sa Caraga held at Almont Inland Resort, Butuan City.

This recognition honors our commitment to preparedness, disaster response, and protecting the lives of every Madridanon.

Yesterday, LGU Madrid was awarded as the Best Implementing LGU for the Sustainable Livelihood Program. I am also humbled to receive the Gawad Kagalingan Award for Local Chief Executive.

This recognition is a result of teamwork, dedication, and genuine service to our communities. Daghang salamat DSWD Caraga for the trust and partnership.

I am suspending classes tomorrow, November 25, 2025, for all levels (public and private) to give way for cleaning and clearing operations after the flooding caused by Tropical Depression Verbena.

This will allow our schools, roads, and communities the time needed to recover safely.
Please take this opportunity to clean your surroundings and ensure your homes are safe.
