To Our Dearest Son,
There are so many things we want you to know as you grow, not just about the world, but about yourself.
First, never doubt how deeply you are loved. From the moment we first saw you, you became one of the most important parts of our life. That love doesn’t depend on what you do or achieve—it simply is.
You will face challenges. Life is not always fair, and people are not always kind. But you have strength in you. You have the ability to choose kindness even when it’s hard, to stand back up when you fall, and to grow from every setback. Don’t be afraid to feel things deeply. There is courage in vulnerability, and wisdom in understanding your emotions.
We hope you stay curious. Ask questions, learn from mistakes, and never stop growing. Follow your passions, even if they take you down paths we don’t fully understand. Your journey is your own—and Nanay and Tatay will always be cheering for you, no matter the direction.
Be honest. Be humble. Be brave. And most of all, be kind—to yourself and to others. Those qualities will carry you further than you know.
