To viewers, may be a juicy dating game. But as a “searcher”, the experience was a self-discovery exercise.❤️
Before going on air, we had a 1-on-1 sit down with a psychologist. “Tell me who you are”, “How do you describe yourself?”, she asked. The list i said, the flashbacks of memories, the conversation that followed…was a strong grounding moment…taking me home to my sense of self. All my green flags and the red flags…ako yun. Tanggap ko yun.
Sharing the ugly parts of yourself on national TV opens the door to insecurity, fear and anxiety. But in reality, we all experience the same when we want to feel seen, known and love. Don’t we?
What is love without vulnerability? And what is vulnerability without exposing your ugliest? Everybody wants “true love”, but we all forget the pre-work it requires:
We must first make peace with our own rough edges— not to cradle them forever, but to soften their grip, so we may hold another’s heart wholly and without condition.
I’m blessed to have my bestie and accountability partner. Everyone needs a in their life! Sifting through my good and bad side, it felt like mining gold! 7 yrs na tiniis 🤣 at tinanggap ang mga kabaliwan ko in the name of love haha!
Sa tingin ko, ang lesson na dapat nating matutunan sa segment na ito ay: Dating shouldn’t feel like a desperate treasure hunt. Treat it more like mining gold:
The deeper you work on yourself,
the more you’ll attract what’s truly valuable.
Thank you for this core memory! I personally super appreciate the care you gave to us. More power, blessing and meaningful segments! Thank you and nice to meet you too and everyone else!
PS. .asilo you were such a gentleman!😇
