I’ve had this copy of Devil May Cry since 2001, and seeing it reach 25 years is honestly special. What started as an idea for Resident Evil 4 eventually evolved into something completely different, and created an identity of its own.

With its stylish combat, unforgettable characters, over-the-top action, and unmistakable attitude, Devil May Cry didn’t just become a great action game. It carved its own place in gaming history and helped define an entire genre.

25 years later, Dante is still making demons look good.

My recent post on FB about Roblox unexpectedly went viral, reaching 4 million views and more than 300,000 engagements in less than 24 hours. But honestly, the numbers weren’t what struck me the most.

What stayed with me was the response from the community, especially the story of a parent who shared how Roblox became a way for them to bond with their children.
And that, for me, is the bigger conversation we should be having.

As parents, we sometimes focus too much on the game itself and forget that what our children experience with video games is also shaped by how we guide them. A game can simply be entertainment, but with responsible parenting, it can also become an opportunity to connect, communicate, teach, and learn together.

You don’t always have to understand every game your child plays. Sometimes, you just have to be willing to sit beside them, ask questions, play with them, and understand why they enjoy it.

Roblox shouldn’t automatically become the scapegoat whenever something violent happens. Just like any other form of media, what matters is how it is used, how children are guided, and how involved parents are in their kids’ digital lives.

Because at the end of the day, the most important part of a child’s gaming experience isn’t the game, it’s the parent beside them.

And sometimes, the game they’re playing can be the very thing that brings you closer together.

Practising the ISSEN-ONLY challenge in Onimusha: Way of the Sword, a challenge I first saw Rontotz Gaming do. It looked so satisfying that I had to try it myself!

What worked for me? Don’t use target lock. Just stand there, stay calm, and wait for the perfect moment to strike, like a super cool samurai.

I’m seriously hyped for this game and can’t wait for September 4 to finally arrive!
