The Blue Eagles are your UAAP Champs again!
Fueled by their last season's loss and the looming doubt of their chances for this year, the ADMU Blue Eagles soar higher than those challenges to collate their fourth crown in five full seasons. The squad won the series' last two games to recover from a 0-1 disadvantage and sn**ch the thrown as the best in the UAAP.
Angelo Kouame received his first Finals MVP award as he figured his way back to form with averages of 17.7 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks across three hard-fought games. The 25-year-old center graduated with one more chip on his belt to increase his total to three and is set to undergo surgery to repair his ACL tear.
The Katipunan squad also relied heavily upon Forthsky Padrigao, Korea-bound Dave Ildefonso, BJ Andrade, and rookie Kai Balunggay to steady the charge against the mighty and heavy-hitter Maroons. And last but not least, this championship is another addition to Tab Baldwin's magnificent coaching career, which cements his status as part of the best in college history.
They may have been beaten in season 84 but make no mistake, Ateneo will bounce back to ascend to glory, and now they emphatically did.
