Kuro-Kuro is excited to launch Beyond Kuro, a new online film exhibition where we’ll be distributing works created outside our team.

This program will showcase short films by Mapúa student filmmakers that have remained unreleased to the public. All films in Beyond Kuro should have been completed at least a year ago, not screened at recent festivals or exhibitions, and not planned for future festival submissions.

OCCUPIED GOES TO UAE! 🇦🇪

We’re proud to announce that Allen Saflor’s Occupied has been officially selected for this year’s Emirates Film Festival!

This marks Occupied’s first ever international premiere on January 17th at the Emirates Airline Crew Training Theatre, as part of the Award-Winning Films in Competition lineup. Winners will be announced on January 18th.

Celebrating its success, we're proud to share a brand-new poster for Janelle Basallo's short, Dahon! 🌿🎬

Since its first screening at Mapúa University - Makati last February 4, 2023, Dahon has traveled from one film festival to another and been featured in exhibitions both in the Philippines and abroad. Its most recent film festival appearance was at the Kineko International Film Festival in Tokyo, Japan, last November 2024.
