Happy Father’s Day.
To all fathers and father figures — both here and in heaven — thank you.
For the strength, the steadiness, the quiet sacrifices, and the love that asked for nothing in return.
Today, I remember my own father.
It’s been four Father’s Days since he passed. And yet, his love continues to be the strongest force in my life.
He was the only person who ever loved me unconditionally.
He believed in me — not because I had proven anything, but because I was his.
And that kind of love stays with you.
It wraps around you long after the person is gone.
It anchors you when nothing else can.
It becomes your reason to keep going.
I haven’t become everything I want to be.
But I know he would be proud anyway.
Because that’s the kind of father he was.
This post is for him.
The man who loved me first.
The man who loved me best.
And whose love still gives me strength.
