3 SUSPECTS ARRESTED IN BALANGA ROBBERY AFTER HOT PURSUIT TO BAGUIO

BALANGA CITY, Bataan β€” Three robbery suspects were arrested following a hot pursuit operation that reached Bakakeng Central, Baguio City, Benguet, at around 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 9, 2026, the Bataan Police Provincial Office said. The operation stemmed from a robbery reported to the Balanga City Police Station on Aug. 8.

Police teams from Bataan, Central Luzon and the Cordillera region coordinated in the follow-up investigation, leading to the arrest of the three suspects and the recovery of stolen items and the alleged getaway vehicle. The suspects and recovered items were placed under the custody of the Balanga City Police Station for documentation, while the vehicle was impounded by the Regional Highway Patrol Unit-Cordillera.

Bataan police provincial director PCOL Marites A. Salvadora said the arrests underscore the police force's commitment to pursuing criminals and ensuring that they face justice. A robbery complaint is being prepared for filing against the suspects, as the Bataan PNP vowed to sustain coordinated operations in line with its mandate to serve and protect the public.
