Praying for Davao, Kweenatics 🙏🥹

After the recent series of strong earthquakes — first in Cebu, then Baguio, and now Davao — it’s a reminder for all of us to stay alert and prepared at all times.

Here are some important tips on what to do when an earthquake or any uncontrollable calamity strikes (shared from Threads 💛).

It’s also very important to always have an Emergency Go-Bag ready — the one you can just grab anytime!

Emergency Go-Bag Checklist 🧳
☐ Drinking water (at least 2 liters)
☐ Ready-to-eat food / energy bars
☐ Flashlight + extra batteries
☐ Power bank + charging cable
☐ First-aid kit
☐ Personal medicines
☐ Whistle
☐ Face mask (N95 / surgical)
☐ Alcohol / hand sanitizer
☐ Hygiene kit (toothbrush, toothpaste, wipes, tissue)
☐ Extra clothes (shirt, pants, underwear, socks)
☐ Lightweight jacket / poncho
☐ Towel
☐ Copies of important documents (in waterproof pouch)
☐ Cash (small bills + coins)
☐ Mobile phone + extra SIM / written emergency contacts
☐ Small radio (battery-operated / crank type)
☐ Multi-tool / pocket knife
☐ Lighter / waterproof matches
☐ Gloves
☐ Small rope / paracord
☐ Ziplock / garbage bags
☐ Extra shoes / sturdy slippers
☐ Blanket / emergency foil blanket
☐ Pet food / baby essentials (if needed)

My sister Jha also experienced the earthquake firsthand in Davao — she was terrified when the ceiling started collapsing. She kept praying and ducked under the table until the shaking stopped before safely exiting the SMX building. 🙏

Thank God she’s safe — and I’m praying for everyone’s safety too, Kweenatics.

Please stay calm, have presence of mind, and always pray.

Craving Japan’s viral Melon Pan but too lazy to bake? 👀🇯🇵💚

Here’s the 15-minute Lazy Melon Pan hack — soft buttery bun, crisp cookie crust, and a melty cheese surprise inside! 🧀✨

Save this recipe for your next merienda craving and tag me when you try it, Kweenatics! 🚀💚

Lazy Cheesy Melon Pan Toast Recipe

IngredientsBase (Sandwich):
* 4 slices thick loaf bread
* 2 slices cheddar cheese (1 per sandwich)
* 2 tbsp shredded mozzarella (1 tbsp per sandwich)

Cookie Topping:
* 60 g all-purpose flour
* 40 g white sugar
* 30 g unsalted butter, softened
* 1 egg yolk
* 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
* Extra sugar for dusting

Instructions
1. Preheat airfryer to 160°C (320°F) for 2–3 minutes.
2. Make the cookie topping. In a bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg yolk and vanilla extract, mix well. Add flour and fold until a soft, moldable dough forms (like Play-Doh). If too soft, chill for 5–10 minutes in the fridge.
3. Assemble the sandwiches. Place 1 slice of cheddar and 1 tbsp mozzarella on a slice of bread. Cover with another slice of bread to form a sandwich. Repeat for the second sandwich.
4. Top with cookie dough. Divide cookie dough into 2 equal portions. Flatten each into a disc about ½ cm thick. Place one disc on top of each sandwich and press gently to mold around the top, leaving a small border.
5. Score + sugar. Lightly score a crisscross pattern on top using a knife (don’t cut too deep). Dust lightly with extra sugar for shine and crunch.
6. Airfry: Place both sandwiches in the airfryer basket, leaving space between them. Cook at 160°C (320°F) for 5-8 minutes, until the cookie top is matte, lightly crackled, and slightly golden, and the cheese inside is melted.
7. Serve: Let cool for 2–3 minutes so the cookie top sets. Slice or enjoy whole — crunchy cookie crust outside, gooey cheese inside.
