WUSHU | The Philippines won one gold and two silver medals in the on-going World Taijiquan Championships at OCBC Arena in Singapore.

Jones Inso Llabres, a veteran member of the national team, ruled the Men’s Chen Style 56 Movements, to hand the Philippines the gold medal.

SEA Games champion Agatha Wong bagged the silver in the Women’s 42 Movements Taijiquan.

Junior athlete Zion Daraliay grabbed her own silver in the Women’s 24 Movements Taijiquan.

Daraliay will compete again this afternoon in Taijishan, likewise Alexander delos reyes in Taijian 36 Movements and Tate Matthew Chuang in Yang Style Taijiquan 40 Movements and Wu Style 45 Movements.

The World Taijiquan Championships (WTC), which had its first edition in 2014, is the official world championship event sanctioned by the International Wushu Federation.

LABAN PILIPINAS! | Team Philippines made its way to the of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games!

Our flag-bearers Ernie Gawilan and Agustina Bantiloc, alongside our competitors Allain Ganapin, Jerrold Mangliwan, Cendy Asusano, and Angel Otom marched inside the Place de la Concorde for the 2024 Summer Paralympics, also known as the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. Branded as Paris 2024, it is the 17th Summer Paralympic Games, the international multi-sport parasports event governed by the International Paralympic Committee, held in Paris, France, from 28 August to 8 September 2024.

The Paralympic Games is the major international sports competition for athletes with disabilities. The word “Paralympic” is derived from the Greek preposition “para” (beside or alongside) and the word “Olympic”. Its meaning is that Paralympics are the parallel Games to the Olympics and illustrates how the two movements exist side-by-side.

Every knee should bend for the One True King and Lord…

SANTA’s CHRISTMAS PRAYER

On Christmas Eve the other night
I saw the most amazing sight,
for there beneath the Christmas tree
was Santa kneeling on his knee.

His countenance was different than
that all-familiar, jolly grin;
his head was bowed, with hand to breast,
and slightly tucked into his vest.

For there in a nativity was
Jesus and His family,
and as I heard him start to pray
I listened close to what he'd say.

"Lord, You know that You're the reason
I take pleasure in this season.
I don't want to take Your place,
but just reflect Your wondrous grace.

I hope You'll help them understand
I'm just an ordinary man,
who found a way to do Your will
by finding kids with needs to fill.

But all those centuries ago,
there was no way for me to know
that they would make so much of me,
and all the gifts beneath the tree.

They think I have some hidden power
granted at the midnight hour,
but it is my love for You
inspiring the things I do.

And so when they begin to open gifts
for which they have been hoping,
may they give You all the glory,
for You're the One True Christmas Story."

God Bless us all this Christmas Season and through-out the coming year.

PBA LEGEND SAMBOY LIM DIES AT 61

MANILA, Philippines: Nine-time PBA champion Avelino "Samboy" Lim, known as "The Skywalker", has died on Saturday at the age of 61, his family confirmed in a post on his page.

"Our Hearts are broken... our dearly beloved Samboy passed away peacefully," the statement read.

Lim was surrounded by relatives and fellow basketball stars that included Allan Caidic.

"Please pray for Samboy. He needs our prayers as we commend his soul to the loving arms of our Lord God," the family wrote.

"Heaven gained an angel just in time for Christmas. We love you Samboy, thank you for loving all of us unconditionally ... no more pain nor suffering! Goodbye for now ...... you will be in our hearts forever," they added.

BAGUIO TAKES THE LEAD WITH 11 GOLDS! 🏅

As of Thursday, December 21, 2023, the city of Baguio ranks first in the Philippine National Games with 11 gold, six silver, and five bronze medals in their bag.

The city of Pasig moved to second place with nine gold, 16 silver, and 18 bronze medals and the city of Mandaluyong in third place with nine gold, seven silver, and 12 bronze medals.
