Took the rest of the weekend off to rest and recover from the absolutely awesome Iron Meets Wood 6th Anniversary Keeb Meetup 😅

But I had some time to sift through most of the photos I took at the event, and it still surprises me just how many unique builds there are floating around the local keeb community

Aside from that, alongside a lot of familiar faces I noticed a ton of new people who joined in on the meetup, which is always a nice thing to see
I was seeing newbies, first time meetup-goers, and even non hobbyists converse and chat with seasoned enthusiasts about their builds, giving each other recommendations, and that's really what this community is all about~

It was a fun time all around and as always, I can't wait for the next local keeb meet!

These are the Bays 60 and Bays Pad keyboards from

They’re a thoughtfully designed pair of keyboards with a retro futuristic design with the purpose of complimenting nicely with Deadline Studios’ own Doys keycaps which have got this low profile round shape that gives the boards their own distinct look

As a fan of Deadline Studios’ ever since their other releases like their Retro66 keyboard and collection of PC keycaps, these Bays60 and Bays Pad boards are another unique addition to their lineup really solidifying their brand identity as a brand that’s doing something truly their own and unique

I didn’t have a ton of time to play around with these boards because of prep work for the upcoming 6th anniversary keeb meetup this weekend but will be bringing these boards to the meetup for anyone that wants to see and type on them in person

Though in my short time playing around with the boards after getting em built, they offered a very nice, soft, and bouncy typing feel with a well implemented gasket mount and with all the foams it made for nice and clean sounding clacks~

This is the GG80AL that was launched earlier this year as an affordable barebones kit from local Philippine peripheral brand Garuda Gear PH

Now the guys at Garuda Gear have just launched the GG80AL as a Full Kit which includes your choice of either Gateron Milky Yellow or Milky Brown switches and a full set of keycaps basically making it ready to use out of the box!

[ZION STUDIOS UPDATE]
So, it looks like Zion Studios PH is closing shop for good once all their remaining inventory gets accounted for and there are some groupbuy projects that are still stuck in shipment limbo

Later in the month there'll be a liquidation sale to get rid of all the remaining stocks, so it'll be a good chance for some of you guys to get your hands on some of the last inventory of certain keysets and switches before they become impossible to find

Really sucks to see one of the OG PH keeb vendors go out like this since they were really instrumental when it came to getting the keyboard hobby thriving in the PH

What's something Zion Studios helped you get your hands on?
Because for me, I still remember getting lucky enough to score one of the few and extremely limited Owlab Jelly Epoch 75% and Mr. Suit TKL kits in the country, I still even have the Jelly Epoch on-hand today as one of the boards in my collection I'd never let go of

Ah well, it is what it is
