The moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by a space that feels like the stylish living room of a wealthy family—elegant, cozy, and effortlessly chic. The thoughtfully curated interiors, warm lighting, and modern design make it a place where you instantly want to slow down and stay awhile.

I ordered their Orange Espresso along with a bagel, which made for a refreshing and satisfying pairing while taking in the beautiful space. Sometimes, the experience of a cafe goes beyond the coffee, and Envies does a great job of creating an atmosphere that invites you to relax and unwind.

Part 2 of our interview during the featuring coffee professionals, farmers, and producers where we asked them the question:

“What is one thing about Philippine coffee that you wish more people knew?”

While each individual shared a unique perspective, a common theme emerged: Philippine coffee has immense potential, but there is still much work to be done.

(1) highlighted the need to increase local coffee production by planting more trees and rehabilitating aging coffee farms. (2) emphasized the importance of improving quality through better farming practices, investing in post-harvest processes, and exploring new processing methods that can elevate the value of Philippine-grown coffee. (3) Equally important is educating consumers—helping them understand not just the flavors in their cup, but the journey, effort, and stories behind every bean.

Meeting the people behind Philippine coffee made me appreciate every cup even more. It gave me a deeper understanding of the challenges they face, the opportunities ahead, and the collective effort required to build a stronger and more sustainable coffee industry.

As consumers, we have a role to play too. By supporting local coffee, learning its stories, and sharing its value with others, we become part of that journey.

To everyone working to elevate Philippine coffee—thank you for your passion and perseverance. Mabuhay ang kapeng Filipino. May we continue to grow, support, and celebrate the people behind every cup.

Day 3 of the culminated with one of the most anticipated event—the Philippine Coffee Quality Competition (PCQC) Auction.

This year marked a significant change as the auction was conducted live, allowing attendees to witness the bidding process in real time. Unlike previous years, where bids were submitted behind closed doors, the new format brought a greater level of transparency and excitement.

As the countdown clock ticked down to the final 30 seconds, the energy in the room intensified. Bidders made their final moves, competing for the opportunity to secure exceptional lots from this year’s winning producers. Every bid reflected not only the quality of the coffee but also the recognition of the hard work, dedication, and craftsmanship of the farmers behind it.

Watching the winning bids come in and seeing the final prices announced was truly inspiring. More than just numbers, these results represent meaningful support for our coffee producers, helping create better opportunities and encouraging continued excellence in Philippine coffee.

I’m already looking forward to tasting these award-winning coffees once they have been roasted. It’s a powerful reminder that behind every exceptional cup is a journey that starts with a single seed and ends with a community coming together to celebrate its potential.

Here’s to the farmers, producers, roasters, buyers, and everyone who continues to push Philippine coffee forward.

Checked out ’s pop-up inside the Salcedo Auctions gallery, running until June 6, 2026.

The cafe keeps things simple with a straightforward coffee menu, featuring Yardstick coffee for their espresso-based drinks. I grabbed an iced latte while exploring the auction space, surrounded by an impressive collection of artworks, antiques, and rare collectibles.

There’s something special about sipping coffee while browsing pieces of history and craftsmanship. Definitely found myself drooling over a few items I wished I could take home 😁

Just a few steps away from The Summer Coffee Company is .thailand, the Bangkok outpost of the renowned specialty coffee brand that originated in Denmark.

From the outside, the cafe features a raw facade, but stepping inside reveals La Cabra’s signature modern minimalist aesthetic—clean lines and a calm atmosphere that invites you to slow down and enjoy your coffee.

With Bangkok’s heat and humidity in full force during my visit, staying indoors with a cup of coffee felt like the perfect escape. I ordered the Hacienda La Papaya over ice, which presented delicate floral aromas complemented by light citrus notes.
