Yes, I am your Ginoong CHE. Yes, this is how I looked.
A few weeks ago, I was suspected of having MPOX. Blisters appeared all over my body, including my scalp, inside my mouth, and even down to my soles. I was hospitalized and quarantined. It was a terrifying and traumatizing experience. I had to endure the pain it brought, but more than that, I had to face the aftermath it left on my skin. Although the result was negative, the damage is still severe.
My skin was never perfect to begin with, but now I look like a pineapple. Deep scars have formed all over my body, as if to remind me of what Iโve been through. I can't face people barefaced or without a cover because of the shame I feel about how I look now. And yet, here I amโyour Ginoong CHE!
This is a battle for me and my skin, and I know I am not alone. I may not look like your typical Ginoong CHE, or even like an ordinary Ginoo. But this is a Ginoo who is vulnerable, testing where his courage will take him.
Yes, this is your Ginoong CHE. Yes, this is how I looked just weeks ago.
