The University of the Philippines College of Allied Medical Professions invites students, faculty, clinicians, and healthcare professionals to a special lecture featuring Ava Magdalena Nazarino, BSOT, OTR/L, CGCP, a UP CAMP alumna, geriatric-certified occupational therapist practicing in Hawaii, USA, and a recently certified dementia specialist through Johns Hopkins University.

Drawing from over 20 years of clinical experience, Ms. Nazarino will share practical strategies in dementia care, interdisciplinary collaboration, fall prevention, and patient-centered interventions across healthcare settings.

The National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) echoes the invitation of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), in collaboration with FabLab Shinagawa and COCRE Hub, for the upcoming Inclusive Makeathon in Manila scheduled on August 21–24, 2026, at the University of the Philippines Manila.

This 4-day collaborative workshop aims to bring together students, persons with disabilities, educators, designers, and digital fabrication experts to co-create innovative assistive devices using 3D printing technology. Guided by the principle of co-designing with "Need Knowers," the initiative actively involves persons with disabilities, Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), and advocacy groups to ensure outputs directly address real-world accessibility needs..
