Established in 1996, Travel Update Philippines is the country's only travel trade print publication, published twice each month for a total of 20 issues a year. The team behind Travel Update Philippines began the publication as a monthly trade-focused paper. In 2008, the team launched its second publication, Travel Update Philippines - Student Edition, when the trade clamored for a publication tha

t would inform and inspire hospitality and tourism students about the industry they would enter after school. The country's most dedicated schools are readers of the publication. Travel Update Philippines has recently been integrated into a fortnightly paper and published by Bucketlist Publishing Corporation. Much of its content is still dedicated on news analysis and trends. TAIWAN EXTENDS VISA-FREE ENTRY FOR FILIPINOS FOR ANOTHER YEAR

Taiwan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lin Chia-lung, has officially announced the extension of visa-free entry for Filipino passport holders for another year. The announcement was made during his remarks at the celebration of Philippine Independence Day hosted by the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) in Taipei, yesterday.

The move is seen as a reaffirmation of the growing friendship and cooperation between Taiwan and the Philippines, supporting closer people-to-people ties and encouraging travel and tourism between the two neighbors.

Further details, including official guidelines and implementation dates, are expected to be released by Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) through an official press release on Monday.
