Sometimes we think regret comes from loving too deeply, from giving too much, from letting our hearts be seen. But the truth is, regret rarely comes from love itself — it comes from the moments we held back. The times we stayed silent when we wanted to speak. The times we guarded our hearts when they were ready to open. The pain of being vulnerable may sting for a while, but it eventually softens and fades. What lingers much longer is the quiet ache of hesitation… the endless “what if” that replays in our minds.
If you feel it, say it. If you care, show it. If your heart wants to show up fully, let it. Because in the end, it’s better to know you loved bravely than to wonder how different things could have been if you only tried.
