ABLNHS Celebrates National Women's Month

ABLNHS marked National Women's Month with a series of inspiring talks and empowering activities, promoting women's empowerment, every 3-4PM, Makato, Aklan,March 3-7.

The event featured women leaders and role models who shared their experiences and insights on women's empowerment, leadership, and personal growth.

Students and faculty members also showcased their talents on highlighting the importance of women's roles in society.

The celebration aimed to inspire and empower young minds, promoting a culture of equality, respect, and inclusivity.

ABLNHS Celebrates Milestone: Work Immersion Program a Resounding Success

Anselmo B. Legaspi National High School (ABLNHS) recently celebrated the success of its Work Immersion program, a significant milestone in its efforts to provide students with real-world work experience in agricultural crops production.

The event, held on February 24 at Lezo Multi- Purpose Farm and Gardens in Tayhawan, Lezo, Aklan, brought together 28 work immersion students, senior high school teachers and coordinator, public schools district supervisor, and work immersion partner industry officers and staff.

The program was monitored and supervised by Mrs. Kenneth B. Revestir, Public Schools District Supervisor of Makato.In her message, Mrs. Revestir emphasized the importance of Work Immersion in preparing students for the world of work.

Mrs. Lordenie S. De Mariano, Vice Chairwoman of Lezo MPC, commended the students for their hard work and dedication, saying, "you have demonstrated your ability to learn and adapt, and we are proud of your achievements."

The benefits of Work Immersion were also highlighted by Mrs. Jill A. Dalisay, General Manager of Lezo MPC, who welcomed participants to the closing program. "This program is a win-win situation for both the students and the Lezo MPC."

Mrs. Marecil N. Terencio, Officer-in-Charge of ABLNHS, expressed gratitude to partner industries for their support. "We could not have done it without your guidance and mentorship. Thank you for helping us shape the minds of our future leaders."

SHS Coordinator, Mrs. Eden I. Ureta encouraged students to continue striving for excellence in her closing message. "As you go back to your regular classes, remember the lessons you learned and the experiences you had during your Work Immersion."

The Work Immersion Closing Program 2025 was a resounding success, celebrating students' achievements and reinforcing the school's commitment to industry partnerships.

A SHOWCASE OF TALENT AND ACHIEVEMENT

Anselmo B. Legaspi National High School (ABLNHS) held its Portfolio Day on Saturday, February 22.
The event was a culmination of the students' hard work and dedication throughout the third quarter.

The Junior High School (JHS) department showcased their students' outstanding projects and achievements in various subjects.

Also, the Senior High School (SHS) department highlighted their students' impressive portfolios in different tracks, such as General Academic and Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) Agricultural Crops Production.

The said portfolio day was a resounding success, showcasing the talents and achievements of ABLNHS students.
It served as a motivation for students to continue striving for excellence and as a testament to the school's commitment to providing quality education.

ABLNHS SECURES TOP 10 SPOT IN FEATURE WRITING AT DSPC 2025

Anselmo B. Legaspi National High School (ABLNHS) celebrated a remarkable achievement in feature writing during the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) 2025, held at Banga, Aklan, on February 22.

Mariella V. Temporaza, a talented student from ABLNHS, secured a top 10 spot in the Feature Writing category.
Her outstanding achievement is a testament to the school's commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, creativity, and responsible journalism.

Temporaza's coach, Mrs. Vanessa C. Tonic, demonstrated dedication to nurturing her writing talent. Other coaches, including Mrs. Nina Laine T. Tactay, Mrs. Shiela T. Tabang, and Ms. Jane Marie I. Pasion, School Paper Adviser, also played a crucial role in the student-journalists' success.

The Grain Fields, the official school publication of ABLNHS, extends its sincerest gratitude to the faculty and staff for their unwavering support and guidance.
The publication also thanks its sponsors for their generous donations of school supplies, lunch-meals, and snacks to the student-journalists.

Thanks also to Markey Nalangan, former editor-in-chief, for his return of service and help. Additionally, the publication appreciates Mr. Benjie De Justo's excellent layout of school paper and Mrs. Marecil N. Terencio, Officer-in-Charge, for ensuring the success of the school's participation in the competition.

The school also recognizes the other participants of The Grain Fields, including Vin Eco T. Sabino, Ramona Jane Tumbokon, Jea Solano, Aleiah Taladtad, Mae Ann Taborda, Dar Aiken Aguiire, and Princess Lhaye Inguillo. Their participation demonstrates the school's commitment to embracing journalism as a means of upholding truth and excellence on campus and in other competitions, and real life applications.
