BFP MALAPATAN PROVIDES WATER ASSISTANCE FOR GULAYAN PARA SA SARANGAN 2026

The Bureau of Fire Protection Malapatan Fire Station personnel, provided water assistance and augmentation to support the Gulayan Para sa Sarangan 2026 project of the Municipality of Malapatan.

The assistance was provided in response to the request of the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist due to the prolonged lack of rainfall and limited water source in the project area. The water support helped sustain the established vegetable garden and prevent the plants from drying and deteriorating.

Through this initiative, BFP Malapatan supports the Municipality's efforts in promoting food production, vegetable gardening, and community resilience, while extending responsive assistance to projects that benefit the community.

BFP MALAPATAN CONDUCTS HOSE PREPARATION SKILLS ENHANCEMENT FOR HIGH-RISE FIREFIGHTING

The Bureau of Fire Protection Malapatan Fire Station, through the collective effort of its personnel, conducted a Hose Preparation Skills Enhancement focusing on hose backpack and hose sling techniques for high-rise firefighting operations.

The activity aimed to improve personnel’s proficiency in hose packing, carrying, deployment, and handling, enabling firefighters to efficiently transport and advance hoselines in stairways and elevated areas during fire suppression operations.

Through continuous drills and practical exercises, BFP Malapatan strengthens the speed, coordination, safety, and operational readiness of its personnel for challenging firefighting situations.

BFP MALAPATAN CONDUCTS HAZMAT KNOWLEDGE REFRESHER ON HAZMAT CLASSES

The Bureau of Fire Protection Malapatan Fire Station, under the leadership of Acting Municipal Fire Marshal SFO4 Achilles A Torres, conducted a HAZMAT Knowledge Refresher focusing on the classification of hazardous materials.

The discussion reviewed the nine HAZMAT classes:

1. Class 1 – Explosives

2. Class 2 – Gases

3. Class 3 – Flammable Liquids

4. Class 4 – Flammable Solids

5. Class 5 – Oxidizing Substances and Organic Peroxides

6. Class 6 – Toxic and Infectious Substances

7. Class 7 – Radioactive Material

8. Class 8 – Corrosive Substances

9. Class 9 – Miscellaneous Dangerous Substances and Articles

The refresher aimed to strengthen personnel's ability to identify hazardous materials, understand their associated risks, and apply appropriate safety and response measures during HAZMAT and emergency operations.

Through continuous knowledge enhancement and training, BFP Malapatan continues to strengthen the competency, safety, and operational readiness of its personnel.

BFP MALAPATAN ATTENDS TRADITIONAL MONDAY FLAG RAISING CEREMONY

The Bureau of Fire Protection Malapatan Fire Station attended the traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony held at the Municipal Plaza, Barangay Poblacion, Malapatan, Sarangani Province.

During the program, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal SFO4 Achilles A Torres was given the opportunity to address the gathering. In his message, he assured the people of Malapatan that the Bureau of Fire Protection will continue to faithfully uphold its mandate of protecting lives and properties while delivering efficient fire protection and emergency services.

He further emphasized that every firefighter is expected to render sincere, dedicated, and professional public service with genuine concern for the welfare of the community. He also expressed his commitment to sustaining and strengthening the good working relationship between the BFP Malapatan and the Local Government Unit of Malapatan in the pursuit of public safety, community resilience, and quality service for every Malapateños.

Layunin ng aktibidad na mapanatiling malinis, maayos, at ligtas ang paligid ng himpilan, gayundin ang pagiging serviceable at operationally ready ng mga fire truck at kagamitan. Mahalaga ang regular na paglilinis at pagpapanatili upang matiyak ang mabilis at maayos na pagtugon ng mga personnel sa sunog, rescue operations, at iba pang emergency sa loob ng kanilang nasasakupan.

Sa pamamagitan ng patuloy na disiplina, teamwork, at pangangalaga sa mga kagamitan at pasilidad, pinananatili ng BFP Malapatan ang kahandaan nito sa anumang oras.
