Writing their way to victory: MNHS journalists joined DSPC 2025.

Student journalists of Manocmanoc National High School have long awaited an event that fuels their passion—one they truly look forward to each year. Last February 22, 2025, the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) held in Banga, Aklan, was nothing short of remarkable. It was more than just a competition; it was a place where we finally got to express the words our hearts longed to say.

Seventeen dedicated coaches took on the challenge of guiding young writers, pushing them to refine their craft and dig deeper into their potential in writing. The 2025 DSPC was not just another milestone—it was a moment of reflection. It was more than a test of talents that reminds us of the power of journalism— to inform, to inspire, and to uphold the truth.

Journalism is not something we merely practice; it is something that keeps us alive because it fuels us. Facts, evidences, and creativity of our words matter and we never stop learning. The ink in our pens will never run dry, it only flows stronger.

Among the remarkable talents who showcased their skills, thirty-seven delegates from Manocmanoc NHS proudly carried home not just awards but also the triumph of perseverance. Their bright smiles reflected the hard work they had poured into this journey. Even those who did not secure titles were embraced by their coaches, recognized for their dedication and relentless effort. Especially, some stood out and earned well-deserved recognition:

🏅Theresa Dujale seized 5th place in Science and Technology Writing (Filipino), earning a spot at the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC). Her unwavering determination and hard work finally paid off.

🏅Moses Antonio secured 8th place in Column Writing (English).

🏅Manocmanoc NHS also made its marked in Radio Broadcasting Script Writing (English), Prince Jorge Conje, secured 5th place for Best in Technical Application.

Despite the challenges, the passion for writing burned stronger than ever. This experience has brought us even closer to our love for journalism, and it only fuels our drive to achieve more in the coming years.

Congratulations to all the young journalists! Mabuhay, campus writers!

With our voices today, we shaped stories of tomorrow. Padayon sa pagLUPAD Manocmanoc!
