✅Before Noise Happens (Prevention)

1. Set Clear Rules - Establish simple classroom rules like "Raise your hand to speak" or "Indoor voices only." Review them often.

2. Signal for Silence - Use a consistent signal (clapping pattern, bell, hand raised, countdown) so students know when to stop talking.

3. Engaging Lessons - Keep activities active and fun. Boredom often leads to noise.

4. Seating Arrangement - Place talkative students apart, or arrange seats in a way that reduces chatting.

⚠️During Noise

1. Pause and Wait - Stand quietly and wait for students to notice. Silence from you often makes them settle down.

2. Positive Reinforcement - Praise or reward students who follow instructions (stickers, stars, verbal praise).

3. Proximity Control - Move closer to noisy students; your presence alone can calm them.

4. Call-and-Response - Example: Teacher says "1, 2, 3, eyes on me"; students reply "1, 2, eyes on you!"

⚠️After Noise

1. Reflect Together - Briefly discuss why the class got noisy and how to improve next time.

2. Reward System - Give points or stars for quiet transitions. When the class earns enough, they get a small reward.

3. Consistent Consequences - If noise continues, follow through with fair consequences (loss of game time, changing seats).
