The Brewdown Returns

Last July 19, the Bukidnon Coffee Tribe resumed its Monthly Brewdown at The Grove PH, Malaybalay City, bringing together 16 brewers in another friendly challenge of skill, creativity, and storytelling.

Three finalists, Sam Mabolo, Kenney Dalida, and Eros Diaz, advanced to the final round, where each showcased their brewing skills while presenting their recipe and the story behind their brew. In the end, Eros Diaz took the win with both his coffee and story.

We are grateful to the roasters and coffee producers who shared their coffees with us. Different beans were featured throughout the rounds, and we made sure to share our feedback with the farmers. More than a competition, the Brewdown is about learning, connecting, and celebrating Bukidnon coffee together.

Our tribe proudly carried the Bukidnon Bean to the Northern Mindanao Cultural Night during the 35th MinBizCon at Limketkai, Cagayan de Oro City, bringing with us not just coffee, but a story rooted in the mountains, the farmers, and the communities of Bukidnon.

We are deeply grateful to PGB-LEDIPO, DTI Bukidnon, and PAGRO for their continued support, trust, and belief in our tribe and in the people behind every Bukidnon coffee. Every cup is a reflection of our land, our culture, and the hands that nurture it. Until next time. 🫶

Another month. Another challenge. Another learning experience. ☕️

Join us for the 10th Monthly Brewdown! This month, we’re putting the spotlight on one paper filter, the Cafec T92. This is not new, but we are testing how well you understand what it can do.

For the elimination rounds, you’ll be brewing with surprise coffee beans, using the CafecT92 to bring out the best in each cup. But the Final Round is where the real test begins. Bring your own coffee beans, brew them using the T92, and present your brew with a spiel. It’s not just about making a great cup. It’s about understanding your filter, your coffee, and why you brew the way you do.

Come, brew, learn, and put your skills to the test. 🔥
