Students from the Institute of Business Management and Governance (IBMG) participated in the celebration of Indigenous Peoples (IP) Day at the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) Malita on October 30, 2025. This yearโs celebration carried the theme โ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ ๐ถ๐ข๐๐ก๐ข๐๐, ๐ธ๐๐๐๐โ๐๐๐ ๐น๐ข๐ก๐ข๐๐: ๐ธ๐๐๐๐ค๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ผ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ข๐ ๐ถ๐๐๐๐ข๐๐๐ก๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ต๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ข๐ ๐ก๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ท๐๐ฃ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ก,โ highlighting the importance of preserving and honoring the identity, heritage, and contributions of Indigenous communities.
The event gathered representatives from various Indigenous cultural communities, including the Tagakaulo, Bโlaan, Manobo, Tausug, and Maranao. It served as a meaningful venue to celebrate unity in diversity through cultural performances, traditional attire, and the sharing of Indigenous knowledge and values.
IBMG students represented the Maranao community, known for its artistry, vibrant clothing, and values of peace and solidarity. Wearing traditional kasuotan that reflected the deep cultural symbolism of the Maranao people, the students expressed pride in representing one of Mindanaoโs most culturally rich communities.

Through their participation, the IBMG students joined the entire SPAMAST community in promoting cultural awareness, inclusivity, and respect for Indigenous Peoples.
