The Institute of Business Management and Governance โ€“Student Government Organization (IBMGโ€“SGO) held its General Assembly on November 13, 2025 at Founderโ€™s Hall, Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST). The event gathered IBMG students to discuss organizational updates, upcoming activities, and important concerns for the academic year.

During the assembly, the SGO presented its plans, ongoing initiatives, and future programs aimed at improving student engagement and strengthening institute-wide coordination. Students from the Institute of Business Management and Governance (IBMG) participated in the celebration of Indigenous Peoples (IP) Day at the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) Malita on October 30, 2025. This yearโ€™s celebration carried the theme โ€œ๐‘Š๐‘’๐‘Ž๐‘ฃ๐‘–๐‘›๐‘” ๐ถ๐‘ข๐‘™๐‘ก๐‘ข๐‘Ÿ๐‘’, ๐ธ๐‘›๐‘Ÿ๐‘–๐‘โ„Ž๐‘–๐‘›๐‘” ๐น๐‘ข๐‘ก๐‘ข๐‘Ÿ๐‘’: ๐ธ๐‘š๐‘๐‘œ๐‘ค๐‘’๐‘Ÿ๐‘–๐‘›๐‘” ๐ผ๐‘›๐‘‘๐‘–๐‘”๐‘’๐‘›๐‘œ๐‘ข๐‘  ๐ถ๐‘œ๐‘š๐‘š๐‘ข๐‘›๐‘–๐‘ก๐‘–๐‘’๐‘  ๐‘Ž๐‘  ๐ต๐‘’๐‘‘๐‘Ÿ๐‘œ๐‘๐‘˜ ๐‘œ๐‘“ ๐‘†๐‘ข๐‘ ๐‘ก๐‘Ž๐‘–๐‘›๐‘Ž๐‘๐‘™๐‘’ ๐ท๐‘’๐‘ฃ๐‘’๐‘™๐‘œ๐‘๐‘š๐‘’๐‘›๐‘ก,โ€ highlighting the importance of preserving and honoring the identity, heritage, and contributions of Indigenous communities.

The event gathered representatives from various Indigenous cultural communities, including the Tagakaulo, Bโ€™laan, Manobo, Tausug, and Maranao. It served as a meaningful venue to celebrate unity in diversity through cultural performances, traditional attire, and the sharing of Indigenous knowledge and values.

IBMG students represented the Maranao community, known for its artistry, vibrant clothing, and values of peace and solidarity. Wearing traditional kasuotan that reflected the deep cultural symbolism of the Maranao people, the students expressed pride in representing one of Mindanaoโ€™s most culturally rich communities.

Through their participation, the IBMG students joined the entire SPAMAST community in promoting cultural awareness, inclusivity, and respect for Indigenous Peoples.
