1st Semester – CY 2026

“Nagkakaisang Barangay Tungo sa Kalinisan, Kaayusan, Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran.”

A successful Barangay Assembly was held on March 28, 2026, at the Brgy. Basketball Court, bringing the community together in unity and cooperation.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our distinguished Guest Speakers, Hon. Salvador Oben, Hon. Ramon Escaño Jr., and PSSg Danilo Maunes, for sharing their knowledge and valuable insights that greatly contributed to the success of the program.

Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to our Barangay Captain, Hon. Edito Figura, together with the Barangay Officials, SK Officials, Barangay Tanods, BHW/BNS, Utility Workers, and all residents who attended and supported the assembly.

The smooth flow of the program and the absence of questions raised reflect the clarity of the discussions and the community’s strong support and understanding.

The BFAR FishCORP Project – MERF Resource and Ecological Assessment Focus Group Discussion was formally conducted on March 10, 2026, at Brgy. Timba, Malitbog, Southern Leyte. The activity gathered gleaners, fisherfolks, arangay officials, and community members to participate in a meaningful discussion regarding the sustainable management and protection of marine and coastal resources.

We would like to acknowledge and express our sincere gratitude to Dra. Sony De Guzman for serving as the resource speaker during the activity. Her valuable insights and expertise greatly contributed to the discussion on ecological assessment and strengthened the participants’ understanding of the importance of conserving and responsibly managing our marine ecosystems.

We also extend our appreciation to all gleaners, fisherfolks, barangay officials, and participants who attended and actively took part in the discussion. Your support and cooperation play an important role in promoting sustainable coastal resource management for the benefit of the community and future generations. 🌊🌱🐚
