HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BPC! | Our dear Bishop Precioso Cantillas celebrates his 72nd birthday today!

Born on July 3, 1953 in Naga, Cebu, to Pedro Cantillas, Sr. and Adelaida Dacalos, he is the 8th in the brood of six brothers and three sisters. He was christened Precioso after Feast of the Most Precious Blood.

Let us continue to pray for His Excellency. May he always be blessed with good health and remain steadfast in shepherding God’s people.

JUBILEE PILGRIMAGES | Pilgrims and devotees from the Malitbog Vicariate gathered at the Holy Child Parish in Malitbog, Southern Leyte for the Jubilee Pilgrimage to the Pilgrim Church during the ‘Adlaw sa Mahal nga Patrona.’

Maasin Bishop Precioso D. Cantillas led the Cenacle Prayer and presided over the Healing Mass. He was joined by Rev. Fr. Gary Nelson Esguerra (Pastor), Rev. Fr. Martin Ando Bañoc (Vicar Forane) and the visiting priests.

SYNOD ON SYNODALITY | As the Synodal process further continues, representatives from the different religious organizations, Parish Pastoral Council and BEC formators the MALITBOG VICARIATE convened for a Vicarial Synodal Consultation, or "Conversation of the Holy Spirit," at the Parish Pastoral Center of Mary Mediatrix of All Grace Parish, Macrohon, Southern Leyte.

The focus of spiritual conversation is on the person to whom we are listening, on ourselves, and on what we are experiencing at a spiritual level. The aim is to create an atmosphere of trust and welcome so that people can express themselves more freely (The Spiritual Conversation, General Secretariat of the Synod, 2021).
