On July 30, 2026, the CEU Malolos Psychology Department held its 6th Psychology Pinning and Send-off Ceremony with the theme โ๐๐๐ ๐ก๐๐ฎ๐โ at the universityโs Centrodome, marking the formal transition of Level 3 BS Psychology students into their professional practicum journey.
Rooted in the concepts of โ๐ด๐ช๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ฃโ (spark) and โ๐ฉ๐ช๐ณ๐ข๐บ๐ขโโ (vision), the eventโs theme, Siklaya, emphasizes the studentโs cohort mission to foster positive community impact and uphold professional integrity. According to event organizers, the annual pinning serves as a symbolic rite of passage, signaling the studentsโ readiness to step into their upcoming practicum.
The program commenced with opening messages from university administrators, including Mr. Alfred Montarial, officer-in-charge of the Psychology Department, who welcomed parents, faculty, and guests to the milestone event. Guest speaker Ms. Maerrol Ormas delivered an inspirational address, urging the candidate-pinnees to maintain their passion and ethical commitment as they prepare to work with diverse communities.
Accompanied by their parents and guardians, 35 candidate students individually took the stage to receive their official psychology lapel pins, conferred by Dr. Dorothea C. Dela Cruz, Academic Department Head of Psychology at CEU. Following the pinning, the atmosphere turned reflective during the transition of candle lighting. Led by Class President Ian Lorence Garcia, the shared flame represented the passing of knowledge and unity among the batch. To formalize their commitment to professional standards and code of conduct, the newly pinned cohort collectively recited the Student Pledge.
A special video retrospective prepared by the Psychology Department showcased the batchโs academic milestones and shared memories over the past three years. The ceremony concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Dela Cruz, followed by the traditional singing of the CEU Hymn and a photo session with faculty members, students, and guests โ marking the official start of a journey rooted in service, integrity, and the pursuit of a ๐จ๐๐ ๐ค๐ก๐ค๐๐๐ฎ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ข๐๐ก๐๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ฉ ๐ข๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ก๐๐ฎ๐.
