A Heartfelt Story of Unity and Blessings in Cleaning Barangay Samal Villages.

In the humble yet vibrant Barangay Samal Villages, a heartfelt aspiration took root, a collective dream to cleanse and renew the community, not only in body but also in spirit. With unwavering faith, we lifted our prayers together, beseeching Allah’s mercy and guidance to bless our endeavor. Mayor Kaiser S. Hataman of the Municipality of Maluso, Basilan Province, said, “Alhamdulillah, our prayers were answered beyond measure.”
The call to action was met with overwhelming support as the full force of our men in uniform rallied behind this noble cause. Under the steadfast leadership of Barangay Samal Villages Chairman Habib Marlon Kamlon, alongside his kagawads, and with the support of Mayor Kaiser S. Hataman and his councilors, as well as other barangay chairmen, the mission to clean and restore our beloved community flourished. Brigade Commander General Frederick Sales and his valiant, compassionate troops—our soldiers, the true defenders of the people—stood at the forefront of this effort.
Joining this formidable force were the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Maritime authorities, the entire Local Government Unit of Maluso, members of MBHTE, and dedicated volunteers from NGOs and CSOs. Together, we formed a united front, embodying the spirit of brotherhood and collective responsibility.
This unity reflects the profound teachings of the Quran and Hadith, reminding us that the best among people are those who bring the most benefit to others. Allah says in the Quran:
“And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression.” (Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:2)
Our collective effort to cleanse Barangay Samal Villages is a manifestation of this divine guidance—working hand in hand for the betterment of our community, nurturing our environment, and fostering peace and safety.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also said:
“The most beloved of people to Allah is the one who brings most benefit to the people.” (Al-Mu’jam Al-Awsat)
Our endeavor is more than just cleaning; it is a testament to our love for our homeland and our commitment to serve and uplift one another. Each hand that swept the streets, every heart that beat with determination, and every soul that prayed for success contributed to a tapestry of hope and renewal.
As we move forward, may this spirit of unity and service continue to inspire us. Let us remember that true success lies not only in the outcome but also in the sincerity of our intentions and the strength of our bond as a community.
Together, with Allah’s blessings, we shall see Barangay Samal Villages shine anew—a beacon of faith, resilience, and harmony. Sana ay mapanatili natin ito. Fajr Mubarak!🙏🤲☝🏼💞

"Rising Hope, Vision Forward"...

Vice Governor Jim Hataman-Salliman visited the municipal government of Maluso at the Townhall. His first visit was during the inauguration rites and the transition of authority, where he solemnly administered the oath of office. During that momentous occasion, the Vice Governor shared words of wisdom that resonated deeply with everyone present: to maintain peace and order, and to be the best local leaders within their respective Barangays. He reminded us that only through dedicated leadership can Maluso’s dream of becoming a truly progressive community be realized.

During this recent visit, the Vice Governor was accompanied by MP Abrar Hataman and MP Haber Asarul of UBJP, whose support made possible the approval of the Maluso General Hospital. He spoke with hope and conviction about the future, announcing that the hospital will soon open its doors—not only to serve the people of Maluso but also to cater to the health needs of six neighboring municipalities, including the Municipality of Tongkil in Sulu. This is a testament to Maluso’s enduring role as a vital center of commerce and trade in the region.

InshaALLAH, the Vice Governor assured us, with support from the National Government and BARMM, more blessings will flow—new infrastructure and development projects aimed at revitalizing Maluso’s commercial center, restoring its historical status as the trading heart of Basilan. His message was clear and soulful: with unity, visionary leadership, and faith, Maluso will rise again, flourishing as a beacon of hope, progress, and prosperity for generations to come.

"Two Months of Progress under Mayor Kaiser S. Hataman’s Leadership"...

After successfully clearing and improving roads in Barangay Tubigan, Barangay Lower Mahayahay , and Barangay Batungal, the ongoing efforts now extend to Barangay Upper-garlayan and Barangay Abong-Abong. These vital infrastructure projects ensure safe and easy passage for all residents, greatly facilitating the transport of goods to and from the market, thereby boosting local livelihoods. Moreover, these improvements are crucial during emergencies, enabling swift and reliable transportation of patients in need of urgent care. We earnestly seek the intervention and support of the BARMM Government and the National authorities to prioritize this infrastructure project for the benefit and well-being of the people of Maluso Municipality, Basilan.

Meanwhile, the communities from Townsite Barangay, Lower Portholland Samal Village, Shipyard Main, and Upper Portholland—leading to the bustling commerce center, including the public market, wet market, commercial establishments, as well as the port and fishing port—have shown unwavering commitment to maintaining cleanliness and preserving the natural freshness of our environment. Their collective efforts have transformed these areas into vibrant, healthy spaces where clean air and a pristine atmosphere are not just ideals but a lived reality. This renewed sense of pride and responsibility is deeply felt by the people of Maluso, local traders, and visitors alike, creating a welcoming environment that uplifts the spirit of the entire municipality. It is a testament to what can be achieved when a community comes together to protect and cherish its natural heritage...
