Fatima College of Camiguin, Inc. - August 15, 2025

Over 60 aspiring campus journalists from Fatima College of Camiguin, Inc. gathered for an empowering Journalism Training arranged by Mr. Vincent Ladra, LPT., the School Publication Moderator. The event served as a platform for young writers to enhance their skills, exchange ideas, and embrace the values of responsible journalism.

Making the program complete, speaker Dr. Reynaldo B. Garnace shared his expertise on the evolving landscape of news writing and on the different fields of journalism. His words encouraged participants to seek truth, write with integrity, and use their voices to make a positive impact in their communities.

The training was more than just a learning experience. It was a celebration of passion, dedication, and the power of words. By the end of the day, each participant walked away with renewed determination to tell stories that matter, because great stories deserve great storytellers, and as Mr. Ladra quoted "Keep the pen moving."

FCC, Inc. Community Gathers For The First Friday Mass

Fatima College of Camiguin, Inc. - August 1, 2025

Arthur Guevarra, was commenced with a joyful and melodic opening song, heartwarming prayers, intent listening to the readings and homily, and a shared sense of devotion and faith.

Fr. Guevarra's message in the Homily, emphasizing appreciation over judgment, echoed deeply with everybody, a calling to reflect on personal actions and interactions. The Eucharist and final blessing left the school community, including all grade levels and school staff, feeling fulfilled with themselves as they have rekindled their bond and relationship with God, ready to face the month head-on with renewed hope.

Lights and Music Fill the Streets: FCC, Inc. Joins Mambajao’s Charter Day Light Parade

Mambajao, Camiguin – June 6, 2025
By: Mary Nichole M. Luntian

A gentle drizzle fell over the town of Mambajao on the evening of June 6, but it did little to dampen the vibrant spirit of the community as it marked the 170th Charter Day celebration with a grand Civic Light Parade. Among the participating institutions was Fatima College of Camiguin, Inc. (FCC), which joined local schools, agencies, and residents in lighting up the streets with music and glowing displays.

The atmosphere was festive and full of life as the parade wound its way through the town. School marching bands, civic organizations, and local groups proudly showcased brighten props, lanterns, and creative flashlight designs that transformed Mambajao’s dim roads into a dazzling spectacle of lights and color.

Despite the rain, spirits remained high. The soft glow from the floats and the rhythmic beat of drums brought a magical energy to the celebration, as bystanders cheered and joined in the joy of the evening.

One of the highlights of the night was the stellar performance by the FCC Marching Band. With synchronized steps and powerful musical arrangements, the band elevated the mood of the celebration and filled the air with hometown pride.

“Rain or shine, padayon lang gihapon,” said members of the FCC band, showing steadfast dedication and enthusiasm as they marched through the light-filled streets.

More than just a parade, the event was a meaningful tribute to the town’s history and a reflection of its commitment to cultural pride and community involvement. For FCC, it was an honor to be part of a celebration that brought together tradition, creativity, and unity under one glowing banner.

"PAKIGHIMAMAT"
Camiguin, Philippines – June 2025 — One of the key highlights of Day 1 was the "Pakighimamat" segment, a session focused on student introductions and personal sharing.

The word Pakighimamat means “meeting” or “getting to know one another” in the local dialect. In this segment, students took turns introducing themselves to the class, sharing their names, where they come from, and something interesting or meaningful about their lives. This could be a favorite hobby, a special talent, or a personal goal.

The Pakighimamat session is part of the school's effort to build a strong relationship at the start of the school year. It encourages students to connect with one another and sets the vibe for a more inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment. As the DAYUN Program continues throughout the week, more activities will follow, all designed to help students settle in and feel at home on campus.

June 16, 2025 – Mambajao, Camiguin Fatima College of Camiguin, Inc. (FCCI) officially began its 2025–2026 academic year with a special Opening Mass held at the San Nicolas de Tolentino Church. The Mass marked the start of DAYUN, a weeklong welcome program for students, faculty, and staff.

The word “Dayun” is a local term meaning “to continue” or “to enter.” It reflects the school’s goal of guiding students not just in learning, but in growing as people with purpose, guided by faith.
