Delicious Filipino Pork Adobo recipe

Ingredients:

-1kg pork belly cubed
-7 tablespoons soy sauce
-4 tablespoons white vinegar
-1 can Sprite or similar soda
-1 piece onion minced
-5 pieces dried bay leaves
-1.5 teaspoons whole peppercorn
-5 cloves garlic crushed
-125 g water
-3 tablespoons cooking oil

Procedure:
1. In a large bowl, combine soy sauce and Sprite with the pork belly. Mix well. Cover the bowl and refrigerate. Let the pork marinate for at least 6 hours.
2. Using a kitchen sieve, drain the marinade out of the bowl. Set it aside.
3. Heat oil in a cooking pot
4. Once the oil becomes hot, saute garlic until light brown
5. Add onion. Continue to saute until soft
6. Add pork belly. Stir and cook until light brown
7. Pour the marinade (Sprite and soy sauce). Cover the pot and let boil.
8. Add whole peppercorn and dried bay leaves. Cover the pot and continue to cook for 30 minutes in medium heat.
9. Pour vinegar into the pot. Let the liquid re-boil. Stir. Cover and cook for 25 to 30 minutes. Note: add water if needed.
10. Transfer to a serving plate. Serve with rice.

6 cups all purpose flour
2&1/4 cup white or brown sugar
6 Tbsp Baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 can condensed milk ube flavor 390g
1 can evaporated milk 360ml
225g unsalted butter melted
5 eggs small
1/2 cup canola oil
2 Tbsp vanilla extract
2 Tbsp ube powder
6 Tbsp ube flavorade
2 cups hot water
3 Tbsp vinegar

3cups all purpose flour
1cup + 2Tbsp white or brown sugar
3Tbsp Baking powder
1/4tsp salt
1/2 can condensed milk ube flavor 195g
1/2 can evaporated milk 180ml
112g unsalted butter melted
3 eggs small
1/4cup canola oil
1Tbsp vanilla extract
1Tbsp ube powder
3Tbsp ube flavorade
1cup hot water
1&1/2 Tbsp vinegar

PATATIM RECIPE W/ SPRITE

Ingredients:

2 kilos (pork leg), pata ng baboy
750 ml (3 cups) Sprite
¼ cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
1 head of garlic, minced
½ cup soy sauce
2-3 pcs star anise
2-3 pcs bay leaves
½ teaspoon pepper corn
3-5 tablespoon cooking oil (or enough to sear the pork hocks)
1 cup water
1 tablespoon cornstarch (dissolved in 1 cup of water)

Directions:

(1) Heat oil in a pan
(2) Sear the ham hock/pork knuckle (or pork leg) 5 – 8 minutes on each side until light brown.
(3) Set aside
(4) In a pot, add all ingredients: 1 cup water, soy sauce, pepper corn, garlic, sugar, star anise, bay leaves & sprite
(5) Mix well until sugar is dissolve.
(6) Add the ham hock / pork knuckle (or pork leg)
(7) Let it boil in medium high heat. Once boiling adjust to medium heat. Cover
(8) Cook for 2-3 hours until desired tenderness is achieved (depending on the quality of the meat).
a. Using pressure cooker can save your time in cooking the meat (45 minutes – 1 hour).
(9) Once in a while, make sure each side are soaked in the mixture.
(10) Add water as needed.
(11) Once the meat is already cooked, set aside. Arrange in your serving plate.
(12) Add the cornstarch mixture (cornstarch dissolved in 1 cup of water) in the remaining sauce.
(13) Stir. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until desired consistency.
(14) Pour the sauce into the pork hock/pork knuckle (or pork leg)

Easy and quick recipe!

Ingredients:
25 grams unflavoured green jelly powder
4 cups water
1 cups cooked sago
½ small jar of sweetened coconut strings
1 small jar of kaong
½ cup condensed milk, adjust taste
2 cans evaporated milk

Procedure:
In a pot add jelly powder and water. Mix to dissolve. Bring to a quick boil. Transfer to a container, cool down to set.
Slice into small cubes.
In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours and serve.

DELICIOUS KARE-KARE RECIPE 😋❤️
Ingredients:
800 g pork hock
2 tablespoons oil
2-3 tablespoons annatto (achuete) powder
¼ cup peanuts (roasted or raw), ground
1 large red onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 -3 cups pork broth
2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
fish sauce, to taste
salt and pepper to taste
string beans (sitaw), sliced into 2-inch pieces
1-2 medium pieces eggplant, sliced into 2-inch pieces
bok choy (pechay)
bagoong, to serve

Procedure:
1. Put pork hock in a large pot and fill it with water until level with the pork. Bring to boil over medium high heat until pork is tender. Take pork hock out and reserve the broth.

2. Heat a deep frying pan or sauce pan over medium heat, add oil and when oil is hot enough, add garlic and onion and cook until fragrant, add annatto powder and ground peanuts and cook for about a minute or two

3. Add pork broth, about 3 cups, season with fish sauce, bring to a boil then add cooked pork hock. Cover and let simmer for about 10 minutes.

4. Add peanut butter and stir, adjust consistency to your liking; add string beans and eggplant.

5. Cover again and cook for about 3 minutes, then add bok choy, cover and let simmer for just a minute. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

6 Serve with rice and sauteed bagoong on the side. Enjoy 😊

EMPANADA RECIPE (Ham and Cheese) 😋

Ingredients

Dough
900grms 3rd class flour/ all-purpose flour
300grms margarine/ butter
1.5tsp iodized salt
6tsp sugar
280-300ml cold water ( add gradually)

Filling
2pack sliced ham
300grms cheese
2 medium size bell peppers
1/2cup mayonaise
1/2tsp ground black pepper (optional)

YIELDS: 35pcs Large Empanada
