Trini Lopez – Greatest Hits, G to VG, US Press / Bnew inner and outer sleeves - 500php

The great music arranger Don Costa discovered Trini Lopez in 1963 and arranged and produced many of his lp vinyl albums. I have a clean copy of this lp and play it on a Thorens turntable and Shure M-97XE phono cartridge. Vinyl surface is quiet, the vocals up front yet natural (not processed) with good dynamics from the brass. The best performances are the up tempo songs such as If I had a Hammer, La Bamba, I’m comin’ home Cindy and America. The audio recording and the vinyl pressing are first rate.

Love Theme from "The Godfather" is the twenty-ninth studio album by American pop singer Andy Williams, released on March 21, 1972, by Columbia Records.[1] The two new songs on what was otherwise another LP of covers of hits by other artists were the title track and "Music from Across the Way", which came from the songwriters behind his recent hits "Happy Heart" (composer James Last) and "(Where Do I Begin) Love Story" (lyricist Carl Sigman).

Paul Anka – Paul Anka's 21 Golden Hits, VG to VG+, US Press / Bnew inner and outer sleeves - 800php

There are a number of so-called Greatest Hits/Best of collections for Paul Anka, but this is far and away the most complete. Everything that you would expect is here: Diana, Put Your Head on My Shoulder, Puppy Love and the rest of Paul's late 50s "Philadelphia Sound" entries.
Also included are lesser known melodies like Summer's Gone, Tonight My Love and My Home Town. A big bonus is the movie inspired "The Longest Day," a major departure from Anka's normal style and a surprisingly good song.

Many of these cuts are not originals, meaning that they are not the first recordings from the late 50s. Rather, these are the studio cuts that Paul made in the 1962/63 time frame, when stereo was all the rage in vinyl and many major record labels were racing to get their big name stars re-released in stereo format.

However, unlike many studio re-releases, these are so close that few will notice the difference and in at least two cases (Diana and You Are My Destiny) the re-releases are arguably better than their mono counterparts.
