🚨 MARITIME ADVISORY OIL SPILL🚨

On June 30, 2025, LCT San Juan Bautista sank off the vicinity waters between Sibuyan Island and the Province of Masbate, which possibly results in a widespread oil spill into the Province due to prevailing currents that affects coastal municipalities of Aroroy, Balud, and Mandaon.

As of today, July 1, 2025, the area has been surveyed by air and sea using PCG BN Islander 4177 and the LGU Cajidiocan speed boat and no signs of oil slicks, sheen, or leakage have been observed.

In this regard, all coastal municipalities are advised to be cautious and are requested to report any sightings of oil or oil sheen within their respective barangays to the nearest PCG Sub-stations.
