Starting the day with the right attitude sets the tone for everything that follows. Begin with gratitude, acknowledging the gift of a new day. Approach the day with a positive mindset, ready to embrace both challenges and opportunities. Practice humility by recognizing your need for God’s guidance, and have patience in all things. Be intentional in your actions, focusing on purpose and kindness. Lastly, trust in God's plans, letting go of anxieties.

Why would Philip and the Ethiopian eu**ch go to such lengths in Acts 8 if only a little water could suffice to accomplish baptism? There is a reason that the two men went together "down into the water". They respect the authority of Jesus. His command to "baptize" has a clear meaning (see the image), which they understand. It turns out, as we read Romans 6 and Colossians 2, that baptism is a kind of burial. A little pouring or sprinkling hardly amounts to a proper burial. When something is buried, it is put under the ground. When we are buried in baptism, we are put under the water, immersed or fully submerged. Friend, have you gone "down into the water"? Have you been "buried with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4)"?
