The Office of Civil Defense – National Capital Region (OCD-NCR) advises all residents in Metro Manila to wear face masks when going outdoors due to deteriorating air quality in several areas, with levels reaching β€œunhealthy” to β€œvery unhealthy.”

Vulnerable groups, including individuals with respiratory conditions, children, the elderly, and pregnant women, are strongly encouraged to remain indoors as much as possible. Those who need to go outside are advised to wear face masks and limit prolonged exposure to polluted air.

Residents are also encouraged to keep windows closed when air quality is poor, stay hydrated, and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms such as coughing, difficulty breathing, or throat irritation.
