How I Went From Comfort Eating to Confident Living.

I used to be content with my body because, in my mind, being a mom of four meant it was okay to have a “mother figure” body. I lost discipline when it came to eating. I would eat whatever I wanted and as much as I could to satisfy my cravings.

Over time, I didn’t notice how much weight I had gained until I started feeling uncomfortable in my own body. My clothes no longer fit, and my energy levels had dropped. That’s when I realized I needed to make a change—not just to look better, but to feel healthier and more confident again.

From 57 kg down to 46 kg, I achieved it through the calorie deficit method. It wasn’t easy at first, but I learned to control my portions, choose healthier food, and be consistent with my habits. I stopped eating sweets like ice cream and stopped drinking sodas like Coca-Cola or juice. On special occasions, I still allow myself a small treat, but I always go back to my routine.

I also started walking and doing light movements to stay active. Each small step brought me closer to my goal, and now I feel lighter, more energetic, and happier with myself—not just physically, but mentally too.

Ano nga ba ang ang pinaka magandang diet para sa iyo?

Ang pinaka-magandang diet ay nakadepende sa lifestyle mo, goals, at kung ano ang kayang i-sustain ng katawan at isip mo. Walang one-size-fits-all, pero heto ang pros and cons ng bawat nabanggit mo para matulungan kang pumili:

✅ 1. Calorie Deficit (Pinakapayak at flexible)

Paano ito gumagana:
Kumakain ka ng mas kaunting calories kaysa sa binuburn mo.

Pros:

Proven and scientific: kahit anong diet, pag calorie deficit = pumapayat.

Puwede mong kainin ang gusto mo (in moderation).

Hindi restrictive — swak sa long-term.

Cons:

Kailangan ng tracking (apps like MyFitnessPal).

Maaaring di agad halata ang progress kung di consistent.

Bagay sa:
Mga taong gusto pa rin kumain ng paborito nilang pagkain (rice, sweets, etc.) pero gusto magbawas ng timbang.

✅ 2. Keto Diet (Low carb, high fat)

Paano ito gumagana:
Pinapababa mo ang carbs (20-50g/day), mataas ang fat intake para mag-shift ang katawan sa ketosis (fat burning mode).

Pros:

Mabilis ang initial weight loss (water + fat).

Nakakabawas ng cravings sa sugar.

Helpful sa may insulin resistance or PCOS.

Cons:

Cons:

Baka mahirap kung mahilig ka sa rice, bread, pasta.

Kailangan pa rin ng discipline sa portioning.

Bagay sa:
Mga taong gusto ng balance – hindi sobrang bawal carbs pero gusto ng structured eating.

✅ Final Advice:

Kung gusto mo ng long-term, sustainable weight loss, calorie deficit with balanced meals ang pinaka-safe at pinaka-effective for most people.

Pero kung gusto mo ng mabilisang jumpstart at kaya mong maging strict, pwede ang Keto or Low Carb, then transition to a more sustainable diet.
