I always believed that choosing you was the best decision I have ever made, and choosing you over and over again was the bravest.

I want to choose you.
I want to listen to your stories, to what excites you, and to what frustrates you. No matter how stressful, painful, boring, or mundane are those. I want to cheer you up when you are having a not-so-good day. I want to support you all the way. I want to be on your side when you feel like the world hates you.

But as much as I want to still choose you up to this day, I am very sorry – I just can’t.

I can no longer choose you because to keep on choosing you is compromising my worth; because to keep on fighting to win you is to lose myself. This time I need to do myself a favor. I need to start choosing me.

TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF.
Go for a walk, eat your favorite food, get a haircut, cry if you need to, read a book, take a vacation, have a drink, do what you need to do.

Take care of yourself, because at the end of the day you're all you've got.
