Begin your day with this prayer 🙏

MORNING PRAYER from the gospel of today Mark 6:45–52.

Lord Jesus Christ, as this new day dawns, I place my life into Your hands.

Like the disciples on the lake, I sometimes obey You yet still meet strong winds.

I row with effort, I grow tired, and the night feels long. But today I remember: You see me, even from the shore.

When the storms of fear, confusion, delay, and uncertainty rise against me, come walking toward me, Lord, not always removing the storm at once, but revealing Your presence in the middle of it.

When I mistake Your help for fear,
when I call a blessing a ghost,
open my eyes and soften my heart.

Speak to my soul this morning as You spoke to the disciples:

“Courage! It is I! Do not be afraid.”

Get into the boat of my life today:
into my work, my decisions, my struggles, my family, my health, and my future.

Let Your presence calm every inner storm,
and let Your peace silence every anxious wind.

Forgive me, Lord, for the times my heart is closed, for the moments I forget past miracles
and fail to trust You in present trials.

Today, I choose faith over fear,
trust over panic, and surrender over resistance.

May this day be lived not by my strength alone,
but by the power of knowing You are with me.

I begin this morning believing:
no storm is stronger than Your voice,
no night is darker than Your presence,
and no fear can stand when You say,
“Do not be afraid.”

Amen.
