Plot Summary:
Sakristan is a poignant and intimate Filipino drama set in a small Catholic community where faith governs every aspect of life.
Christian and Zach are teenage altar boys whose days revolve around church rituals, discipline, and obedience. Beneath the incense and hymns, a quiet bond begins to form between them—tentative, confusing, and deeply felt. As their connection grows into a forbidden romance, they struggle with guilt, fear, and the weight of religious expectation pressing down on them.
Forced to conceal their feelings in a world that condemns them, both boys face emotional isolation and moral conflict. The church, meant to offer comfort, becomes a place of silence and repression, pushing them toward choices that will permanently shape who they become.
